John Warner Blues U10 4 v Pans Whites Pumas 1
MOTM: Cameron
Scorers: Cameron 2 Jordan 2
The Blues are always slow to get underway and again they lived up to their recent form by giving the opposition an away goal to start. They kicked off well and took the game to the Pumas but under pressure failed to defend and let in that early goal. (0 - 1)
The Pumas took advantage of what they thought was 'their day' and concertive attacks saw the Blues give away 5/6 corners in succession. However they cleared their lines each time and after 10 minutes Lewis cleared the ball to Josh who crossed the ball over to Cam on the right wing who calmly slotted the ball into the far corner. (1 - 1)
The Blues were then awake and continued to play some good football passing the ball well and realising this could get them some more goals. A clearance from Josh to 'H' and then to Cam who passed two players kicked the ball between the defenders and Jordan cut across goal and stuck it in the net. (2 - 1). A few minutes later Lewis kicked a thundering ball down field which both Cam and Jordan chased and Jordan won it putting it safely under the goalie. (3 - 1). Following the kick off the Pumas had a great chance when a shot was fired directly at goal but calmly put aside by Max.
The second half continued with play in all areas of the pitch and despite numerous 'Ooohs' - 'Aahs' & 'How did we miss that' the ball wouldn't go in the net. Cam shot numerous times, Will hit the ball from wherever he could get hold of it, Jordan chased harried and shot, Lewis took the ball from our defence to their penalty area and still couldn't get his first goal, 'H' & Josh also had numerous chances in font of goal, as did Danny but just when we thought we would never score Will put in a lovely cross to cam who hit it hard and low into the net. (4 - 1)
A really good all-round performance when everyone worked for one another.

John Warner Blues U10 5 v ST. Margretsbury Youth 0
MOTM: Josh H, (SoccerTastic's Player of the season)
Scorers: Tom 3 Jordan 2
From the whistle JW moved forward and attacked with passing football as though they had always played this way. They kept possession, went back again when they lost the ball, looked up for someone to pass to and generally took control of the game. This pressure paid off when a corner was taken by Cam crossed to Tom and easily put away. 0 - 1. Five minutes later good passing by Will to 'H' to Tom saw him get his second goal. 0 - 2. Again good pressure with a Lewis pass through to Tom and it was his hat trick. 0 - 3.
The second half continued with everyone really working together and within 4 minutes a poor goal kick by St. Margaret's goalie dropped in front of Jordan who put it back into the net before the goalie got there. 0 - 4.
A free kick inside the S.M half was taken by Lewis and just went wide of the post. A slight lack of concentration by JW nearly conceded a goal but although not having a lot to do Max was well placed to clear the ball away, which in fairness he did on a few occasions late in the game.
A final rally by JW in passing the ball for ever forward was converted by Jordan to make it 0 - 5.
An exceptional game by all the players in the squad and this week 'H' was everywhere all game and deserved MOTM.

John Warner Blues U10 3 v Hertford Heath Juniors 2
Player Of The Match: Jordan
Goal scorers: Jordan 2, Danny
JW started again slowly and with a defence still asleep failed to clear a
bobbling ball and conceded an early goal to Hertford Heath on 5 minutes.
(0 - 1). Hertford had a lot of early possession and Max managed to parry and
save two good attempts at his goal.
However we managed to remember some of the training instructions and found
that passing the ball does work. From defence two good passes went down
field to Danny and Jordan who both appeared to kick it at the same time -
the HH goalie came out and pushed the ball over his head and into goal -
Jordan confirmed it was really Danny who touched it.(1 - 1). A minute later
Jordan received pass on left wing and hit their post with a good shot. Max
also saved a sure fired goal with a tremendous block, kicked the ball down
field to Jordan who managed to hit their post again-unlucky. Just when we
though the half was over a miss kick clearance went to a HH attacker who
managed to chip Max who was off his line. (1 - 2)
The second half was a much better performance all round with most of the
game in the opposing half. Josh H passed a lovely ball to Jordan on the wing
who didn't miss this time (2 - 2).
A well won ball in the centre of the field was taken by Cam who threaded
through two players to Jordan who struck it home again. (3 - 2)
Once or twice more good passes by Cam could have seen us score but once in
front we were not going to give in today.
Well played boys!!! a much better performance.
